This month it has been all about kids and ads that make them smile. And the NZTA (“People love how the ad brings the issue of drug driving to the point without being gruesome,” says the Colmar Brunton executive who compiled the data). “First place this month goes to Hyundai – Kiwis are completely under the spell of the girl in the ad … and the scenery!”

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

Hyundai

  • It is different and shows our beautiful country.
  • It promotes our beautiful country and the young girl is so bright and bubbly and she conveys her message really well.
  • Clever and a cute young lady who acts well.
  • Great scenery, believable characters.
  • Great scenery.
  • It’s a positive message to get out and enjoy the NZ scenery with family.
  • I really like the cute girl it is built around.
  • Great for a child to do the talking for an add…shows lots of very nice country outback areas……makes you just want to drive somewhere. no bookings made ahead…..
  • The scenery, the young girl’s acting, and the smile at the end of the ad.
  • Some of the phrases such as you about to have a meeting about a meeting
  • Like the scenery it shows off.

NZTA

  • It’s just funny, pick up new things every time listen to it with 2 on rotation, always take notice of it to see if it’s the favourite
  • I like it because it’s effective and not all blood and gore, but relates well to real situations.
  • It has humour in it
  • It puts the point across without being heavy handed and is amusing.
  • I like it because it is funny and gets the point across without having anyone get hurt.
  • I like this public service teaching ad. These ads cause me to be more aware while driving.
  • A very serious message but it’s quite interesting (probably as I don’t dabble in that side of life so it’s funny to see this happen)
  • I think it’s very well portrayed and the ad gets the message across to the viewers.
  • Great message, can relate, like how the story changes.
  • Has a bit of humour to stress the serious point being made.

Tower

  • I love the creativity of this ad as it is a funny way of getting you to view the reality of theft and the need to insure your possessions – and the kids are cute!!
  • The children are so natural.
  • Because it’s cute
  • The kids make me smile each time.
  • Love the kids
