AUCKLAND, Today: Brodie Kane’s Kiwi Yarns podcast is getting a fresh new look, shifting to a video-first format and filmed from Stuff Group’s augmented reality studio in Auckland.

She’ll host guests in a custom-designed virtual set, keeping the same honest, long-form chats the podcast’s known for—now with multi-camera angles and a cosy, bach-style vibe.

Stuff Digital Managing Director Nadia Tolich says Kiwi Yarns joins a growing list of video projects produced from the Auckland studio, which is also open for hire.

“We have some of the best broadcasting talent in the country, be they on camera, on the studio floor or in the control room.

“We deliver ThreeNews every night live at six from our studio, and work with content partners to produce a number of brilliant programmes in the studio like Paddy Gower’s The F#$%ing News and The Hui.

Stuff Commercial Director Brand Connections Jaana Collins says the shift to video makes the podcast even more attractive for brands.

“With Kiwi Yarns now video-led, the integration opportunities on offer for brands have become even more compelling. Podcasts are already an effective brand channel because of their direct, intimate nature.

“Our new video format means our commercial partners can engage with Brodie’s loyal audience and the wider Stuff audience in a more dynamic and impactful way.”

The first video episode drops today, March 31, and features ThreeNews presenter Samantha Hayes sharing stories from her childhood, career, and family life.

You’ll find it on stuff.co.nz, the Kiwi Yarns homepage, Stuff’s socials including YouTube—and all the usual podcast platforms.
