BUSAN, South Korea: Creative-tech competition Ad Stars has received 440 entries from New Zealand this year, up from 305 in 2018 (a rise of 44%, albeit it off a low base).
The highest number of entries are in Outdoor, Print, Film and Design – and all are now in the running to win two US$10,000 cash prizes.
In total, over 20,00 entries are in from 60 countries, up slightly from last year. Entries grew from India (up 71% year-on-year), Singapore (62%), Philippines (125%), Vietnam (254%), Australia (53%), Hungary (68%), Croatia (332%), UAE (377%) and Qatar (514%).
An international panel of remote jurors will soon begin judging entries to determine this year’s finalists.
The winners will be revealed at the 12th Ad Stars festival in Busan on Thursday 22 August.
