SYDNEY, Friday: Colenso BBDO has accepted an invitation to present the international keynote session at next month’s Mumbrella Australia Finance Marketing Summit.

Colenso chief creative officer Levi Slavin & transformation head Edwin Rozells will fly in to Sydney to argue that “goodwill is not good for business”.

An unnamed Mumbrella spokesperson said: “While the agency has serious credentials in financial creative, it will use learnings from its range of creative work across multiple sectors to provide delegates with a framework for creating brand value through strong purpose.

“They join IAG’s Brent Smart (a former ceo at Saatchi New York, and MD at Colenso Wellington).

“The balance sheet impacts how decisions are made, how executives are recognised and how companies are valued and traded. Despite this, it hasn’t been updated since we swapped horses for cars.

“Nowadays a brand must be seen as an asset of tangible value as opposed to a token of goodwill. Attend this session to get world-leading perspectives on creating a formidable brand and discover the endless opportunities for growth.”

The pair join a number of global experts, including IAG chief marketing officer Brent Smart (a former ceo at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, and former Colenso Wellington MD).

The one-day event will be held at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday 25 July. Tickets cost A$645.
