Kiwis strike Webby treble

NEW YORK, Thursday: Three New Zealand agencies – FCB/Assembly and kickass Wellington/Amsterdam shop Resn have picked up three wins (two of them going to Resn) at the 23rd annual Webby Awards in the US.

The Webby site had crashed when we prepared this article this morning, and some of the information we sought was temporarily unavailable – watch for an update later today.

  • The vaunted FCB/Assembly combo won in the Websites – Best Use of Animation/Motion Graphics category for Oat The Goat.
  • Resn Wellington won a pair – for Discover Lexus campaign (in Car Sites category), and Spotify Bandito (in Animation/Motion Graphics).

Other NZ highlights were …

  • Gladeye Auckland received an honorary mention with its work for High Performance Sport NZ (in Government & Civil Innovation.
  • Ogilvy NZ was a nominee in the Best Cause Related Campaign category for Question a Cop.
  • DDB was an honouree for Stop Suicide (Music for Video category), and and a nominee for Scrabble For Pav (Integrated Campaigns).
