APN Outdoor has launched a four-week long campaign – aimed at agencies and their clients – to promote its premium network of large format roadside billboards.

Kicking off today, the Boards competition offers weekly entrants the chance to win their choice of …

  • a Channel Islands Neck Beard
  • 5 Fin 6ft Surfboard or a Molokai 9ft Paddle Board or a Snowboard (for men a Burton 2015 Custom Snowboard and for women a K2 2015 Bright Lite Snowboard).
  • There will also be two consolation Shifty-Woody Cruiser Skateboards up for grabs each week.

“Known in market for their attention-grabbing capabilities, APN Outdoor’s large format roadside billboards are synonymous with quality, scale and impact,” says NZ general manager Phil Clemas.

APN Outdoor has more than 500 strategically located sites all over New Zealand – and 61% of New Zealanders say they have seen ads on large format billboards in the past seven days*. Additionally, Clemas says, 63% of New Zealanders say they “pay attention” to large billboards* further demonstrating the medium’s strength to engage.

“APN Outdoor is also leading the industry when it comes to digital with our Elite Screens portfolio – the largest network of premium digital screens in New Zealand,” Clemas says. “In addition to immediacy of posting and creative flexibility, APN Outdoor’s Elite Screens provide advertisers with precinct targeting and time specific advertising opportunities.

“Our Attention Economy research revealed that billboards are considered the most noticeable outdoor format amongst New Zealanders, with 61% ad recall*,” Clemas says. “Our latest competition celebrates the key benefits of the world’s most traditional form of outdoor advertising as well as providing our clients with the opportunity to have some fun and to win.”

APN Outdoor’s agency team will be in market offering clients the chance to enter, he says. The competition runs from this Monday (June 15) to Friday 10 July.
