AUCKLAND, Yesterday: TVNZ production outfit Blacksand, with Ikon and Coca-Cola Oceania have shot Character Required – a series of Schweppes tvcs fronted by star actor Kiwi Robbie Magasiva (currently appearing in Wentworth).
Filmed in cinematic black & white, the campaign draws on creative used internationally by Schweppes, who enlisted Blacksand and TVNZ’s commercial teams to work alongside its media agency Ikon to strike a more locally relevant note.
The tvcs draw on Magasiva’s high-wattage screen presence to deliver viewer classification guidance for mature audiences. He suavely welcomes viewers to a handpicked selection of premium programmes screening on TVNZ, reinforcing Schweppes brand positioning as the sophisticated choice for discerning adult consumers.
