Rainger & Rolfe, with Film Construction, have shot Oceania Magic Moments, a new commercial for Oceania Health Care. The ad debuted on air last night.
“Oceania is all about providing magic moments for their residents and that’s what this new TVC is all about,” said Ant Rainger of Rainger & Rolfe.
“When we first sat down to plan this campaign, capturing the spirit of generosity and quality of care was top of our list,” he said. “We know the caregivers and staff at Oceania just love doing whatever they can to enhance the resident experience. The stories are almost too numerous to tell – and yet that was the task.”
The ‘kitten’ ad (above) certainly wowed the cynics at M+AD, who thought the agency was not overstating the case by calling it “magical”.
Turn it up
“And turn up the volume,” urged Rainger. “We think our Burt Bacharach/Hal David number is a ripper – courtesy of a very cool Greg Johnson rerecord from LA.”
Oceania marketing GM Jill Birch said: “Kittens was actually just one of the many true stories we tell about how we support and care for our residents.
“In the end it was the one we settled on because we just felt it brought together a number of relevant themes. If you look closely you’ll see it was an initiative by one of our caregivers to help Mary but it was then a team effort to pull it together.
“The other key aspect to this campaign was our promise of ‘kindness, care and respect’ which is how we close the commercial. At Oceania we feel this is an accurate description of the resident experience and also a very good reflection of the kind of culture we have.”
There are two versions of the TVC – a 60” and a 30”, both supported with print, radio and digital channels – all following the same theme.
