New Zealand’s 2018 Station of the Year Mai FM launches a new brand campaign today, including a tvc that features Mai announcers and an upbeat tune from local hip hop artist Rei.
“Join the Crew is all about the feelgood vibes and having fun,” says Mai content director Phil Bell.
“2018 has been a landmark year for Mai,” he said. “We’ve smashed all our previous Auckland and national records; making us the number one music station in Auckland for multiple consecutive survey books, and taking out Station of the Year at the 2018 NZ Radio Awards.
“There are no words to express how extremely proud I am of my team, and all the listeners we have across Aotearoa.
“This campaign is a testament to who and what we are. We’re all about having a laugh, making our listeners feel part of the whanau, and of course, the hottest hip-hop & R’n’B station in the country.”

“Refreshing our staple Join the Crew collateral by adding a new vibrancy to match that of our announcers’ personalities and the authenticity of the station.

In addition to the tvc (created by Radlab Auckland), the creative will run across digital and OOH.
