AUCKLAND, Wednesday: MediaWorks has appointed Chris Lloyd as head of radio promotions, integration & events, a new role designed to improve the capability of each business stream while driving performance, idea innovation and creation of best practices that will align the three teams.

Lloyd is joining MediaWorks from Drum, where he was head of content and social media, leading an in-house team to work with pubishers and producers on client projects. This included radio promotions, TV product placement and integration, commercial creation, social media content, podcasts and magazine partnerships.

Prior to this, he was with MediaWorks for five years, most recently as the integrated media sales manager.

Content director (radio) Leon Wratt said: “Chris’ experience and expertise across both product and commercial will enable our PIE teams to create campaigns and opportunities across all our platforms for the benefits of clients and their brands.”

Chris Lloyd said: “MediaWorks is about to enter an exciting new phase of its history and I am looking forward to reuniting with many of my old colleagues and friends to work on new opportunities across the spectrum of the company’s touchpoints.”

He will commence his role with MediaWorks on October 5.
