AUCKLAND, Today: M&C Saatchi NZ made the news last week with a big outdoor campaign for Countdown, prompting M+AD to ask the agency’s Auckland-based operations director Sarah Hobden for an update on the NZ arm of the agency.
M&C NZ no longer works directly with other NZ clients – since the main body of the agency retreated to Australia four years ago, citing a decline in NZ.
M&C NZ is now a “bespoke” agency.
“M&C Saatchi and Countdown co-created Greenhouse, a collaborative agency model where all Countdown’s agency partners are welcome,” Hobden told M+AD.
“Our partner agencies are Stanley Street (media), Affinity (digital), Wellcom WW (btl), and M&C Saatchi (brand).”
Those partner agencies are Stanley Street (media), Affinity (digital), Wellcom WW (btl), and M&C Saatchi (brand).
And the new model is doing fine, Hobden says.
“The agency now has a team of 11 based at Greenhouse Auckland, including Hobden, ECD Paul Hankison, and GAD Carly Pratt.”
M&C Saatchi NZ does not have its own website. Those interested should visit the Aussie sites (below) or contact Hobden directly.
