AUCKLAND, Friday: MediaWorks has appointed Barry Sadlier to the role of chief financial officer, effective immediately. Sadlier joined MediaWorks in 2017 as group financial controller and has been acting CFO since January.
With an extensive career spanning over 20 years in the media industry, Sadlier has previously held senior finance and change management roles at Stuff and NZME, where he worked on a number of large-scale projects including the launch of stuff.co.nz, the sale of INL to Fairfax and the launch of the Herald on Sunday.
He has also previously worked for both BBC and Reuters in London. He remains a director of Bravo TV NZ Ltd.
MediaWorks ceo Michael Anderson said: “Barry is an integral part of our team and a natural fit for the role. His knowledge of the media industry coupled with his leadership expertise makes him a great asset to our team.”
