AUCKLAND, Today: MediaWorks would be stoked with The Block Firehouse performance so far as they announce their show has consistently won its time slot and is a hit with the key 25-54 demographic.

Over 1.8 million viewers have tuned in to date with 835,000 of those firmly seated in the 25-54 range.

As the contestants prepare for the auction they must be kicking themselves for not pitching ad space to the relationship remediation market, as they appear to need as much support in this area as they do designing and building the apartments.

Digital viewing has amplified their reach with season 8 being the most-watched series of The Block in the history of ThreeNow. Total on-demand video has increased by 29% yoy and live streams have increased by 16%.

MediaWorks will be hoping this trend continues as the show enters its final stages.
