Go Media has won the media rights to Nelson Airport, New Zealand’s largest and fastest growing regional airport. To meet the growth demands, Nelson Airport is building a new terminal. Go Media will play its part in delivering a best-in-class customer experience by installing high-spec, digital media assets, inside and out.

The terminal is opening in two stages, with the first stage opening to the public mid-October. Digital media assets will be installed for the first stage, and additional options will be in place when the full terminal opens late next year.

Go Media general manager Simon Teagle said: “Nelson Airport offers our clients a considerable tourism and business audience with a long dwell time.

With our offering of large format, LED and LCD media assets, we are confident we will produce outstanding results for our clients.

“The airport $32m terminal development will cater for growth out to 2035, when 1.4m passengers will travel to the region.”

He says Go Media has worked closely with Nelson Airport, the terminal architects and construction project leads to ensure the digital screens are integrated into the build.

Nelson Airport business development & marketing manager Sally Russ said: “We wanted to partner with an innovative team who would have our customers and local businesses best interests at heart.

“Go Media has been front and centre of the media asset selection process providing innovative solutions, that will give customers digital advertising opportunities this region hasn’t seen before.

“We’re looking forward to growing together.”

This will be Go Media’s second media partnership in the Nelson region, with the procurement of Nelson’s bus portfolio in 2011.

The Nelson Airport $32m terminal development will cater for growth projections out to 2035, when 1.4m passengers a year are forecast to travel to the region.
