First Five Rungs Auckland welcomes new leadership team

AUCKLAND, Today: The Comms Council’s First Five Rungs in Auckland announces new leaders as it heads into 2024. Andrew Eiserman from Dentsu steps up as Chair, Grace Chittock from Spark Foundry becomes Deputy Chair, and Leo Shum, also from Dentsu, takes on the Secretary role.

Simon Lendrum, CEO of the Comms Council, commended the new appointments: “Zoë, Chelsea and Courtney have worked tirelessly to bring the industry closer together, and have greatly shaped what the First Five Rungs have achieved. From a creative perspective, the FFR’s team has gone from strength to strength… which is why we’re delighted to see Andrew step up into the role of Chair… Andrew has been part of the First Five Rungs for the last couple of years and I’m excited to see the work that he, Grace, and the rest of the team bring to life.”

Lisa Motteram adds, “The work that the First Five Rungs continues to do is of great importance to the Comms Council and we’re thrilled to have such exceptional young leaders at the forefront of this change.”

Andrew Eiserman expresses his enthusiasm: “I’m extremely honoured to step into the role and fill the big shoes left by Zoë. We have a raft of exciting initiatives coming in 2024 and I couldn’t be prouder of the team’s passion and energy.

“From a personal perspective, the work that the First Five Rungs does is imperative in setting up industry newcomers for a long time within the industry, and I’m highly aware of the difference a great support system can make.”

Grace Chittock shares her excitement: “I’m passionate about giving back to the First Five Rungs, and helping people feel comfortable in this fast-paced industry… I am privileged to be working so closely with Andrew, and the rest of the team.”

The First Five Rungs, a Comms Council initiative, kicks off 2024 with a diverse team, aiming to provide a solid foundation for industry newcomers.
