Matt Michael and Bronwyn van der Merwe take the lead at Accenture Song ANZ

AUCKLAND, Today: Bronwyn van der Merwe has been named Accenture Song lead for Australia and New Zealand, starting October 15, 2024. She brings over 20 years of experience in design and innovation to the role.

Currently the Service practice lead at Accenture Song ANZ, Bronwyn rejoined the company in 2023 after serving as VP of Design at Culture Amp. Her background includes founding Fjord in Australia.

She grew Fjord into a team of 350, launching studios across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Japan. Bronwyn later led design for Accenture Interactive, now Song, in the Asia Pacific region.

Matt Michael is taking on the role of CEO of Droga5 in Australia and New Zealand from December 1st, following the integration of The Monkeys into Droga5. He’ll also continue leading Accenture Song ANZ’s Marketing practice.

Matt has been with The Monkeys since 2011, serving as managing director for over a decade. He’s worked with leading brands like Telstra, Qantas, Amazon, and NRMA Insurance, creating some of the agency’s most iconic campaigns.

This follows a strong year for Accenture Song, closing FY24 with $19 billion in global revenue. Together, Bronwyn and Matt are set to lead the company’s next tech-infused chapter.
