AUCKLAND, Friday: Monday is Auckland Anniversary Day, an official public holiday in the northern part of the nation, with many businesses closed for the day.
Among those will be M+AD, which is based out of Auckland. Sorry – but that’s the way it goes.
Auckland Anniversary Day is really next Tuesday (29 Jan) – but it’s been Mondayised to create a long weekend.
Coming up we have Waitangi Day – Wednesday 6 February. Also a public holiday (with no M+AD).
