New York Festivals Ad Awards issues 2018 entry call

The 60th New York Festivals International Advertising Awards is now accepting entries for its 2018 competition – one of the world’s top creative shows.

For 2018, NYF plans to expand its competition roster and in the weeks ahead unveil additional areas within the advertising, marketing, and communications sphere to showcase innovative creative from around the globe.

The 2018 NYF jury selection process is currently under way. The online grand jury, nominated by previous award-winning creatives, reviews all entries and determines the shortlist.

There are currently five creatives representing New Zealand on the grand jury including:

  • Natalie Knight, creative group head, Colenso BBDO
  • Beth O’Brien, creative group head, Colenso BBDO
  • Brigid Alkema, executive creative director, Clemenger BBDO|Proximity
  • Kim Pick, creative director, Colenso BBDO
  • Maria Devereux, creative group head, Colenso BBDO

These creatives do the real work, before an elite panel of 30 worldwide chief creative officers meets in together in New York City for five days of deliberation to select the world’s best advertising from the shortlisted entries.

The 2018 New York Show awards ceremony and gala will take place on the evening of Thursday 17 May 2018 at Jazz at Lincoln Centre’s Frederick P Rose Hall, Broadway.

This year, in an effort to streamline the entry process, NYF has introduced a new fee structure for entry pricing–one fee per entry with incentives for entering early.

The deadline is Wednesday 31 January.
