The New Zealand business landscape has long acted as a testing ground for new ventures. Its small size and knowledgeable consumer base creates a desirable environment to test ideas before scaling up overseas. A local marketing firm has done just this; using New Zealand’s startup ecosystem, the company have honed its offering and now plans to expand into Australia.

In the three years since it was founded, Aamplify has gone from a wide-eyed startup to a laser-focused marketing professional services firm with an impressive body of work and a reputation for delivering exciting results.

With 40% year-on-year growth, much of their success has come from the partnerships they’ve built both here and on a global scale, and as they grow their reach beyond New Zealand they’ve changed their digital presence from Aamplify.co.nz to Aamplify.partners to showcase this.

“Partnership is in our DNA and this is a reflection of it to position ourselves for global expansion and exporting a methodology,” says Samuel Williams, managing partner, Aamplify.

“We’ve spent the last three years prototyping and proving our model domestically, working with such IBM partners as Certus Solutions and Mindfull, Deloitte NZ and other local startups. So we’re now looking to take that model and use it to work with businesses on the over side of the Tasman.”

It’s a model centred on providing outsourced marketing expertise to export-led businesses, software companies and professional services firms and, according to Williams, the company’s extension into Australia is evidence that local talent is now competitive internationally.

“This is an example of a new paradigm for Kiwi businesses taking services and intelligence to the rest of the world. It’s not just about producing dairy and sheep and cows and building products, we’re now actually starting to export expertise,” Williams says.
