AUCKLAND, Today: NZME has announced that Greg Cassidy has taken up the role of head of NZME’s online/print automotive platform Driven.

Cassidy has been with NZME for four years, previously as GM Upper South Island where he was responsible for strong performance in the five markets he served.

Prior to his work with NZME, Cassidy has held national leadership roles with Southfuels Ltd, Dulux NZ, Goodman Fielder, Newell Brands and Delonghi NZ. He is no stranger to the automotive industry, having worked extensively with dealers in the Canterbury region as part of his GM role.

Cassidy says he’s looking forward to growing the driven.co.nz platform. “Driven has an outstanding reputation in the industry and I’m excited to continue the growth it has seen over the past few years,” he said.

“Driven is a specialist car site and a destination for everything cars, from Lamborghinis to Toyota Corollas!”

driven.co.nz is a specialist car site and the quality of the content and vehicle listings is second to none. It’s a destination for everything cars, and now I can keep a close eye on Lamborghini Huracans that might be listed – or more realistically, any Toyota Corollas!”

NZME CEO Michael Boggs says Cassidy is well suited to the role. “Greg is a fantastic addition to the Driven team and will continue to run it as a high performing business unit that is flexible and responsive, to better serve the changing needs of our customer base.

“He is an experienced leader and we are confident he will take the Driven platform to new heights.”

Cassidy commenced his role in July – but NZME has kept the news under wraps for the past month.
