O&M brings classic Monaro back to life

The 60 years celebration continues for Holden, with the integrated part of the campaign kicking off this week. The campaign follows the restoration of a 1969 Holden Monaro HT GTS.

The tired old Monaro is the hero of the campaign launch film, which uses integrated typography to evoke Kiwis’ Holden memories, inviting them to share their own story to be in to win the Monaro once it’s fully restored.

“Holden has always been part of the fabric of this country,” said O&M ECD Angus Hennah. “We wanted to use a classic part of Holden’s history, to invite Kiwis to share their Holden stories with us.”

Kiwis can also follow the Monaro’s restoration back to its former glory via a series of online films, fronted by Greg Murphy.

“When we began talking about this campaign, it quickly became evident that everyone has a Holden story,” said Marnie Jane Samphier, GM Marketing at Holden. “Rebuilding a piece of our history, and giving it a new life with a deserving new owner that shares a love of our brand, is a great way for us to reinforce the fact that Holden is here for the long term.”
