NEW YORK, Wednesday: Omnicom Media Group agency OMD Worldwide had the best net new business performance of any global media network in 2019, as reported today by international indie research company COMvergence.

This performance is reflected locally in both Australia and New Zealand where OMD has also been named Campaign’s Agency of the Year for the last six out of seven years. OMD has three offices in NZ – in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

“We are absolutely pumped to start the year with this win and are looking forward to what we can bring to 2020,” OMD NZ ceo Nigel Douglas told M+AD.


“This performance is reflected locally in New Zealand.”

In the COMvergence Media Agency New Business Barometer report, OMD tops the ranking with US$2.02b in net new business values.

The agency also led the industry in retention, successfully defending more than US$1.2b in business that had been in play in 2019 – approximately a half billion more than its closest competitor.
