Few surprises in the latest ABC Circulation and Nielsen Readership data, released on Friday. Newspapers continue their slow-moving slide in circulation and readership – with the notable exceptions of the Otago Daily Times, Sunday Star Times, Herald liftout Bite, and five sturdy provincial dailies. Weekly magazines did no better, but monthlies fared quite well – notably North & South, Metro, Fishhead, Cuisine, Dish, and Idealog. Food, leisure and rural titles generally did well.
