NZ agencies Colenso BBDO and Y&R swept through the 2016 Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, taking out five Grand Prix between them – three for Colenso’s celebrated Brewtroleum campaign, and two for Y&R’s equally celebrated McWhopper campaign. Colenso was also named Agency of the Year, and Clemenger BBDO Wellington won the Creative Effectiveness Spike.

The Overseas Investment Office has approved the proposed merger between Fairfax Media’s New Zealand assets and NZME, although the deal still needs NZME shareholder and Commerce Commission approval to go ahead, NBR reports.
