A relatively quiet time at the Cannes Lions Festival yesterday – no Lions ceremonies, just two shortlists.

The Cannes Lions management is to review the eligibility of Grey Singapore’s controversial I Sea app, labelled a “terrible fake” after it won a Bronze Lion earlier this week.

Special Group has made the shortlist in the Entertainment Lions for Music – the only New Zealand agency to qualify.

There’s no stopping Y&R’s Burger King McWhopper campaign in Cannes. Last night McWhopper took out its second Grand Prix – and NZ’s third.

Saatchi & Saatchi and Clemenger BBDO Wellington have each picked up Gold Lions in the Cyber category overnight at Cannes. And Colenso BBDO and Y&R both scored Bronze Lions.

Y&R won NZ’s only Lion – a Bronze for Brake Living Memories – in the Creative Data category last night.
