AUCKLAND, Today: We sadly report the passing of Penelope Cooper last Saturday 27 April at Auckland’s North Shore Hospital following a brief illness. The other half of The Cooper’s Sound Design will be missed by many in the ad industry.
Her lengthy career as a top producer saw her work with agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & Mather, Lowe, Y&R, and production companies Mustang Films, Silverscreen, Cranbrook, Republic, Song Zu Australia and Liquid Studios.
Husband (and business partner) Jon Cooper said in a Facebook post: “The Coopers Sound Design will be back! The studio will be closed for two to three weeks while I get things in order.”

A service for Penelope Cooper will be held at Schnapper Rock Cemetery in Albany on Saturday 4 May at 11:15am.
