AUCKLAND, Today: Omnicom Media Group agency PHD Aotearoa has promoted Amanda Palenski to Managing Director, effective immediately. She will lead operations, driving multi-channel strategies to create transformative experiences for clients.
Reporting to CEO Abby Parkin, Palenski will work closely with her to foster holistic thinking and deliver innovative, future-proof solutions that drive business growth and client success.
With 16 years at PHD Aotearoa, Palenski has led award-winning campaigns for brands like Skinny and Restaurant Brands, securing global and local recognition at Cannes, WARC, Beacons, and Effies.
She also played a key role in developing the media strategy for the Lion NZ pitch, which ultimately led to PHD Aotearoa’s successful win.
“Palenski’s appointment to this key leadership role recognises the considerable capability and depth of expertise she has delivered for clients and our business.

PHD Aotearoa has also strengthened its leadership team with two more promotions—James Davidson as Chief Strategy & Planning Officer and Helen Brown as Chief Investment Officer.
Davidson, with over 15 years at PHD Aotearoa, previously led client planning as GM. He will now focus on strategic media solutions that help clients outpace and outgrow the competition.
Brown, a founding member of PHD Aotearoa, has led the agency’s investment and trading function for the past five years, driving market-leading investment solutions with measurable value for clients.
These promotions follow Nikki Grafton’s appointment as CEO of OMG New Zealand and Parkin’s promotion from MD to CEO of PHD Aotearoa.
Together with key leadership figures like Chief Technology & Innovation Officer Rachel Bayfield and Chief Measurement Officer Simon Bird, the agency is well-positioned for continued success.
