New Zealand Post and its wholly owned subsidiary Kiwibank have unveiled plans to bring their media accounts together under one agency roof. A number of unknown shops are now pitching for the new combined account.
Currently, NZ Post media has been handled by Starcom (which also handles Westpac), while Kiwibank is with Ikon. Under the new regime, both agencies will need to pitch.
Kiwibank head of marketing communications & content Regan Savage told M+AD an appointment will be made before July.
Savage said the combined approach may also lead to the appointment of specialist social media agencies and search engine marketing agencies.
He says the decision to combine the accounts was made to maximise the buying power of both companies.
