AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Lumo Digital Outdoor has announced the relaunch of the Pixel Awards, an initiative established “to educate and motivate creatives to harness the creative opportunities digital out-of-home has to offer”.
Lumo ceo Phil Clemas said: “After a couple of years on hold, the Pixel Awards are back and we couldn’t be happier.
“The success of the Pixel Awards reaffirmed to us that there is a genuine desire from advertisers and agencies to better understand the dynamic capabilities of digital OOH and to learn how to apply the many creative advantages available.
“We want the creative industry to fully understand the incredible potential of our screens and to encourage more campaigns that utilise the technology’s capabilities.
“By inspiring and educating the country’s creative departments, we believe we can move the digital out-of-home category forward and help brands really take advantage of the channel.”
“The winning creative team will take home a $5000 cash prize and a Pixel trophy designed by New Zealand artist Simon Lewis Wards.”
Creatives are invited to enter, with submissions opening today. The winner will see their campaign go live and the winning client being awarded $40,000 worth of media across the Lumo nationwide network.
The winning creative team will also take home a $5000 cash prize and a Pixel trophy designed by New Zealand artist Simon Lewis Wards.
Clemas: “Creative teams will be judged on their ability to use Lumo’s innovative technology to create a dynamic and insightful campaign, how impactful their campaign is, and how well it utilises the digital out-of-home channel.”
To be eligible for entry, teams or individuals need to be New Zealand based; submissions need to adhere to ASA guidelines, and campaigns need to be able to run in a live market.
Entries for the Pixels Awards will run through to 1 October with judges to be announced shortly.
