AUCKLAND, Today: Tickers have gone on sale for the 2019 NZ Radio Awards at Sky City Theatre on Thursday 20 June – and at just $70 per seat (+ drinks & canapes) they’re a very good deal, compared to some awards shows around town.
And given the extroverts rampant in the NZ radio world, it’s bound to be an entertaining show.
Guests will arrive from 4.30pm where they will be guided directly into the theatre. The show will start promptly at 5pm to allow time for everyone to celebrate together afterwards.
Reserved tickets have been set aside for the networks and finalists (scroll down for the contacts). The awards show will be simulcast.
Drinks & canapes will be available at the conclusion of the awards until 8pm when a cash bar will be available.
“Reserved seats have been set aside for the networks and finalists.”
Awards coordinator Donna Bloxham said: “To ensure a fair system of covering the cost of the night there will be a cost of $70 plus gst for each ticket as a small contribution toward this.”
All guests will be allocated a wristband which they will need to gain access. The networks (NZME/MediaWorks/RNZ) have a set number of tickets each and they will be allocating them to their finalists and staff as in previous years.
The contact for tickets within each network are:
- NZME – hollie.buchan@nzme.co.nz
- MediaWorks – ashtonmcclennan@mediaworks.co.nz
- Radio New Zealand – jude.walcott@radionz.co.nz
RBA members, other independent station finalists and other radio industry groups also have tickets for allocation. These ticket requests should be sent to: Janine Bliss (info@rba.co.nz). Two tickets for each finalist entry will be held and available to purchase until Friday 24 May.
“After that date,” says Bloxham, “they will go to people on a waitlist”.
“All non-network finalists will need to pay/arrange for their company to pay for tickets. Any independent finalist who requires more than their allocated two tickets will need to go on a waitlist until we know what additional tickets are available after 24 May.”
