AUCKLAND, Today: It is with sadness we report the death of former Kiwi adman Richard King, who had struggled with ill health for a number of years.

His death notice in the NZ Herald said: “Richard passed away peacefully at Tauranga Hospital on 11th February 2020 with his wife by his side.

“Dearly loved husband of Ann and loved by extended family and friends.

“Richard, late of Auckland, will have been known by many in the advertising industry when he was Media Director for some of the big advertising agencies for many years.

“His sense of humour was legendary.”

We were alerted to this news by broadcaster David Burke-Kennedy, who wrote: “I worked with him way back in my youth and recall him as a very nice man.

“Lost touch, as you do. Can’t remember which agencies but encountered him a few times over the years.”
