AUCKLAND, Friday: A tacky take on the classic Star Wars genre has won a big night out for four NZ media agency teams who produced the five winners for Val Morgan’s MCU (Marvel Comic Universe) competition.
The winners – PHD (The Star Whores), OMD (The Trash Panthers), Frucor Suntory Strangebrew aVengers, GSL (The GSLP Squad) and FCB (ASSGuardians of the Galaxy), get a private screening of Black Widow (the next chapter in the MCU franchise), and pre-movie entertainment & refreshments in the Gold Class lounge.
A remarkable 32 agency teams (of five) took part (scroll down for the link). That’s a total of 165 team members.
“It was an amazing level of participation from the agencies,” said VM sales director Matt Tremain.
“Many teams are not yet aware of the results, as we released on the eve of a long weekend. We’re counting on M+AD to spread the word.”

The participants included FCB, GSL Promotus, PHD, Zenith, Lassoo, MBM, Dentsu/Carat, Ikon, Stanley St, VMLY&R, Harvey Cameron, Starcom, Mediacom, Contagion, Together, Tomahawk, and OMD.
