AUCKLAND, Today: Tennis Auckland has revealed Manuka Doctor as the new naming rights sponsor for Stanley Street Tennis Arena. This marks the first name change in nearly 40 years for the 3,000-seat venue.

The iconic Auckland arena, established over a century ago, has hosted millions of fans and showcased unforgettable matches featuring tennis legends like Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, and Coco Gauff.

The announcement was made at an industry event last night, ahead of the ASB Classic, Auckland’s premier summer tournament. While ASB retains naming rights for the event, running from 30 December 2024 to 11 January 2025, the venue itself takes on a fresh identity.

Rohan West, CEO of Tennis Auckland and ASB Classic, said: “We are thrilled to announce Manuka Doctor as naming rights partner for the Manuka Doctor Arena. The agreement demonstrates our shared commitment to continue to build on the venue’s tremendous success.

“As a New Zealand company, we are proud to be the new naming sponsor of the Manuka Doctor Arena. By working together, we look to help future proof an iconic Auckland venue and expand the types of events held at the venue.” – Nicola Macfarlane

“We’ve loved working with Manuka Doctor as a key sponsor for the ASB Classic for the past three years, and it’s exciting to see this partnership grow. The partnership comes at a perfect time for us, as we embark on the multi-million dollar Centre Court roof project, for which we have recently been granted resource consent.”

Nicola Macfarlane, Manuka Doctor VP, added: “As a New Zealand company, we are proud to be the new naming sponsor of the Manuka Doctor Arena. By working together, we look to help future proof an iconic Auckland venue and expand the types of events held at the venue.

“But back to tennis, by also sponsoring The Road to the ASB Classic, we are energising the potential of future Kiwi tennis prodigies so they can compete in future ASB Classics – here at the Manuka Doctor Arena.”
