SLSNZ And Cartel Media team up for summer

AUCKLAND, Friday: Surf Life Saving New Zealand are teaming up with Cartel Media for the seventh straight summer in a partnership that combines a revenue-sharing agreement on media placements, and sees safety messages displayed on screens across Cartel’s nationwide fitness and family display networks.

SLSNZ head of commercial & marketing Jo Clarke said: “The funds returned to each club are directly proportional to advertising that has been displayed and makes a material difference to all the clubs involved, and with a long hot summer on the horizon it’s looking like it will be another busy summer on the beaches and for the partnership.

“Kiwis love the water and each year over 3.5 million Kiwis visit our stunning beaches. With just over 4500 lifeguards spread across 80+ patrolled locations we need to make sure that we can reach as many people as possible and educate them on how stay safe in the surf before they even hit the beach.


“If we can help Kiwis make good decisions and stay out of trouble this summer, we’ll be happy.”

“The funds that we receive from the partnership with Cartel then provide us with valuable resources to increase our presence and patrol capabilities if any action is required and the messages that are shared across the networks helps to make sure that Kiwi’s arrive at the beach with the knowledge they need to stay safe.”
