The Spikes give Kiwis the brush-off

The Spikes Asia has chosen five Aussies among its 13 jury presidents from across the region for its 2018 creative awards in Singapore in September – but the organisers have turned a blind eye to potential Kiwi jurors.

In past years, Kiwis have been prominent on Spikes juries – but this year, zilch.

It seems certain, however, that Kiwis will be included in the ranks of the wider juries, judging by the response M+AD received from Spikes PR person Marian Brannelly “No Kiwis yet,” she said.

“But Lisa Berlin, our jury director is working on finalising the full jury line-up.”

The Aussies are DDB Sydney’s Tara Ford, Octagon’s Ben Hartman, Finch’s Karen Bryson, Sudeep Gohil (ex Droga 5 Sydney) and Saatchi Health’s Craig Chester.

The creative awards are an integral part of the the Spikes Asia Festival and the jury reviews entries into 21 different award categories across the breadth of the branded communications industry.

The Spikes Asia Awards ceremony will be held at Suntec, Singapore, on Friday 28 September bringing the 2018 Spikes Asia Festival to a close.
