Nationally, MediaWorks’ The Edge is the most listened-to network (in All People/cumes), closely followed by NZME’s NewstalkZB.
Then come More FM (NZME), ZM (NZME), The Breeze (NZME), The Rock (MediaWorks), The Hits (NZME), Coast (NZME), The Sound (MediaWorks), Mai FM (MediaWorks), RadioLIVE (MediaWorks), Radio Hauraki (NZME), Radio Sport (NZME), Flava (NZME), George (MediaWorks), and Magic (MediaWorks).
A highlight is The Paul Henry Show, which has handed RadioLIVE a growth of 17% at breakfast (albeit off a relatively low base).
In the 25-44 group, MediaWorks’ The Rock is No 1.
But the Mike Hosking Breakfast maintained its share in breakfast market nationally at 16.7%, with Mike Hosking growing the 25-54 audience to 8.2%.
This is the first survey from GFK, which took over the role earlier this year. The latest set of results, are based on new research methodologies, which were adopted in accordance ot the recommendations of consultants Peter Don and Eriks Celmins.
This first survey, which included the use of e-diaries, is also the first to have the full backing of all industry players.
