Tourism NZ taps Digitas Singapore

SINGAPORE, Thursday: Tourism New Zealand has appointed Digitas Singapore as its digital integrated agency for Singapore and Indonesia – an expansion of a mandate that previously included Digitas being Tourism NZ’s media agency for South East Asia, China and India.

Digitas (part of Publicis Groupe) will now be responsible for developing digital creative work with the objective of driving tourism value from Singapore, India and Indonesia.

This appointment follows a competitive pitch process which concluded this month.

Tourism NZ regional manager Steven Dixon said: “Digitas demonstrated a strong understanding of the Tourism New Zealand brand, coupled with real local insights and great conceptual thinking.

“We are very excited to have appointed them and are confident that a more localised and personalised approach to our creative work, will deliver great results.”

Digitas Singapore MD Rika Sharma said: “It’s a privilege to extend our partnership with Tourism New Zealand.

“Being such an authentic brand and destination, I have no doubt that our unique ability to develop data and emotionally led creative solutions, and partner that with innovative media solutions will help to propel the New Zealand brand and tourism from the region.
