NAPIER, Wednesday: A year of growth for specialist Hawkes Bay-based agribusiness agency Tracta has resulted in two appointments to its leadership team.

Kurt Sandtmann has been appointed managing director, replacing Andy Walker who moves to the position of insights director.

Walker, also the company founder and previous MD of 30 years, said: “This is a significant appointment for us. Kurt more than proved himself in the role of GM and is fully deserving of this step up.

“He’s a natural leader with a great deal of integrity who is trusted by staff and clients alike.

“The company has experienced growth on both sides of the Tasman.”

“In his GM role, Kurt led Tracta through a tough Covid environment – and despite this the company has experienced growth on both sides of the Tasman.

Sandtmann also announced the appointment of Nick Maltby as client services director.

Maltby has a 20 years’ experience, including former roles with Badger Communications and Y&R (now VMLY&R).

“Nick’s been with us a few weeks now,” Sandtmann said. “He has a vast amount of knowledge in the industry to pass on, plus he’s also a great guy.

“We know that under Nick’s guidance our staff and customer relationships are in very safe hands.”
