AUCKLAND, Today: The Enthusiasts have led a new anniversary campaign for TUX, the iconic brand that’s fuelled Kiwi dogs for generations.

Mark White, Head of Marketing at Purina NZ, says, “This year Tux celebrates 70 years of being baked here in New Zealand. Whilst we may have become famous for feeding our nation’s farm dogs, TUX has a rich history in the city as well, so we wanted to celebrate the qualities that connect both these worlds.”

White adds, “Ultimately TUX is very much about the real kiwi dog – dogs that love to chase balls, sticks – happiest when they’re running and having fun, and our new ad is full of that joyfulness.”

The new TVC tells the story of Bjorn, a city dog suddenly thrown into a rural world.

“TUX has an amazing history of great storytelling and we wanted to create something that had universal appeal – it’s a dog story that everyone can relate to and hopefully love.” – Martin Yeoman

Jamie Hitchcock, Creative Partner at The Enthusiasts, says, “It’s a story about our unlikely hero finding his inner kiwi dog, earning the respect of the farm dogs and finally being welcomed into the pack – literally Bjorn Again! It’s about Tux feeding the Kiwi spirit in all our dogs – no matter who they are.”

Martin Yeoman, Strategic Partner, says, “TUX has an amazing history of great storytelling and we wanted to create something that had universal appeal – it’s a dog story that everyone can relate to and hopefully love.”

Directed by Adam Stevens and produced by Good Oil Films, the TVC features original music by Murray Grindlay, whose classic jingle plays a key role in the commercial.
