“As we enter the New Year, the theme of festive and Christmas ad campaigns diminish, writes Colmar Brunton client executive Andy Strain, in his January NZ Top 10 ads report.
The slowdown in production over the holiday period has produced a vacuum in the latest Top 10 data – this month’s column is essentially a refresh of the November/December list.
As Christmas draws near, seasonal advertising steams in at the top of the order for the favourite ads of the November month, whilst old New Zealand classics make up the middle order.

Nine out of 10 listings (including the top four) in this month’s M+AD/Colmar Brunton Top 10 commercials are old favourites – with return visits from Vodafone, Mitre 10, Pak’n’Save, Lotto (x2), ANZ, Specsavers, Toyota, and Pam’s.
