TVNZ executive team changes

AUCKLAND, Thursday: TVNZ has announced changes to its executive team today. The new structure will see TVNZ’s leadership team reduce from 10 to seven roles to “better align the business with its strategic priorities and deliver a sustainable digital-first business”.

Newly created roles of chief revenue officer (commercial and marketing), chief digital officer (technology and transformation) and chief operating officer (legal, people and operations) will be taken up by current executive members, Jodi O’Donnell, Kym Niblock and Brent McAnulty respectively.

Brent McAnulty continues as interim ceo while this role is recruited for by the TVNZ board.

Leadership of TVNZ’s programming remains unchanged with Phil O’Sullivan executive editor of news & current affairs and Nevak Rogers acting chief content officer.

TVNZ is also pleased to appoint Tracey Richardson as chief financial officer in a permanent capacity.

These changes will see current chief people officer Nicola Simpson, and marketing director Jonathan Symons depart the organisation.

TVNZ said it is grateful for the “immense contribution Nicola and Jonathan have made to the business. As previously announced, Chief Transformation Officer, Cate Calver is commencing the role of ceo of Great Southern Television in the New Year.
