AUCKLAND, Today: Volkswagen NZ has appointed Freemans Bay-based Lily & Louis Creative PR as its official public relations agency. There was no incumbent, and no pitch – L&L have been working for VW on a project basis for some time. VW NZ’s creative agency is DDB.

The public relations scope includes Volkswagen passenger vehicles (Polo, Golf, e-Golf, T-Cross, T-Roc, Tiguan and Touareg) plus Volkswagen commercial vehicles (Amarok, Caddy, Transporter, Caravelle, Multivan and Crafter, and California).

Lily & Louis managing partner Jon Ramage says the agency is thrilled to add the iconic Volkswagen brand to its expanding client list.

“This aligns well with the continued growth of the brand as we evolve an electrified mobility offering and sustainability focus.”

“The breadth of the Volkswagen range offers fantastic opportunities to tell stories across a variety of touch points,” he said. “Amplifying these messages is what we do very well, and we’re delighted to be putting that expertise to work for Volkswagen.”

VW’s Greg Leet said: “The new partnership aligns well with the continued growth of the brand as we evolve an electrified mobility offering and sustainability focus.

“The timing of this announcement fits perfectly with the launch of the Spirit of Amarok in New Zealand – an exciting, new 4×4 experience with international status.”
