Few surprises in the latest ABC Circulation and Nielsen Readership data, released on Friday. Newspapers continue their slow-moving slide in circulation and readership – with the notable exceptions of the Otago Daily Times, Sunday Star Times, Herald liftout Bite, and five sturdy provincial dailies. Weekly magazines did no better, but monthlies fared quite well – notably North & South, Metro, Fishhead, Cuisine, Dish, and Idealog. Food, leisure and rural titles generally did well.
Our winners list below includes all magazine and newspaper titles to post rises or remain unchanged. The measurement period was Q4 2013 to Q3 2014 – our list below was compiled by comparing this latest data with the previous survey period.
