Yahoo New Zealand has launched Yahoo TV, offering premieres, box sets and catch-up TV on demand – for free – as well as new premium opportunities for advertisers.
Featuring TV shows like Sin City Saints and Other Space from the Yahoo Originals studio, the launch of Yahoo TV is part of the global business’ ongoing investment into exclusive programming, and marks the first time Yahoo Originals content has been made available outside the US.
Other programmes range from comedy series to reality TV shows, with food-focused competitions such as The Great Food Truck Race and Cutthroat Kitchen, as well as behind-the-scenes stories from Tori & Dean and La Toya Jackson, plus Home & Away and My Kitchen Rules.
“The launch of Yahoo TV reflects Yahoo New Zealand’s broader strategy to strengthen its offering for consumers and make the network the go-to destination for great video programming and exclusive content online,” says the unsigned release.
“This content not only serves as a drawcard for consumers as they seek out new entertainment options; the expanded service will also significantly increase Yahoo’s available video inventory “and provide a premium new offering for advertisers”.
