AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Phantom Billstickers is putting its weight behind Adrien Taylor & Mark Townsend, the creative entrepreneurs behind Christchurch brand agency Not Another.

“Like many people going into lockdown, they wanted a project to put their energy into,” the Phantom site reports.

“They came up with the idea of YEAH! LOCAL.”

Adrien Taylor said: “We could see what the economic repercussions would be for small businesses. We’re not economists but we can make posters. So that’s what we did.

“It’s important to be lively and uplifting. That meant bold colours and positive messaging. There’s a lot of doom and gloom out there so we wanted to have a bit of fun.”

“We’re handy in Typeform, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, Google Drive, Google Adwords, & Facebook Marketing.”

The messages are punchy and upbeat:

  • Love your local.
  • Don’t be dumb with your dollar.
  • It’s cool to be kind.
  • Think global, spend local.

“Perfect for street posters, in fact,” say the Phantom folk.

In Taylor’s words: “We actually designed the creative with Phantom in mind. They really came to the party with costs. Phantom were generous and fun to work with.”

“Local medium, local business. It’s the perfect match.”
